The route in South-East Asia
We plan to visit 4 countries in 2.5 months: Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and after making a circle, we will return again to Thailand and go south to the seas!
For budget planning, we used survey data collected from the French website https://www.tourdumondiste.com. Roughly, it amounts to:
- Thailand, 25 € per person per day
- Laos, 20 € per person per day
- Vietnam, 21 € per person per day
- Cambodia, 22 € per person per day
Of course, it all depends on the level of comfort with which you want to travel. Right now the budget seems realistic if you live in cheap hostels. For example, in Thailand we see prices ranging from 250 – 500 baht, so 7,5 to 15 euro, and food is very cheap as well. The biggest expenses will be transport, especially the plane trips.
